The best gift you can give your friends, family, loved ones, and humanity is to take care of yourself.

When medical insurance won’t cover holistic and integrative therapies, there can be a benefit to not using your medical insurance:

  • Individuals are seen and heard beyond "a diagnosis" - diagnosis(es) and treatment plans are established by Allopathic/Western medical insurance providers that are not integrative or holistic because they focus on symptom/disease management versus deeply rooted causes or the complex, whole person
  • Symptoms and diagnoses are kept confidential and are not assessable to employer-provided insurance companies. (This can be appealing to professionals such as therapists, CD Counselors, teachers, law enforcement, firefighters, etc. who wish to keep their symptoms and diagnoses truly private). If insurance isn't billed then no diagnosis is given.
  • No time limits to appointments (length of appointment times and treatment recommendations are established by insurance companies based on a diagnosis) - Complex symptoms require additional length and detail that insurance companies will not reimburse.
  • Evaluations are Integrative and Comprehensive (not otherwise covered by medical insurance)
  • Help to reduce the cost of increasing medical insurance premiums and deductibles by submitting fewer claims

I am in network with Optum, Medica, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Partners, UCare, Preferred One or UHC, Aetna and Medica.

Please consult your health care insurance provider prior to scheduling an appointment to get information regarding what your insurance may cover.  Consulting with your insurance provider is the best way to familiarize yourself with costs for services as well as the number of sessions covered. This will vary based on the specific insurance plan and provider. You will most likely find that your insurance provider will not cover body work, reiki, coaching or integrative and holistic therapies but can use your HSA/FSA. A medical necessity letter may be needed by your insurance provider to consider coverage and can be provided by Mind Body Mirror upon your request.
